We’re “keeping the climate cool” in East Texas and beyond
Climate Justice Texas and Climate Justice Texas - Community are 501c4 and 501c3 nonprofit organizations founded by passionate young women of color to create the spaces for our East Texas community to have conversations about our environment, the unique challenges that we face, and how to preserve our eco-region for future generations.
Our approach — as a grassroots, young adult-focused environmental organization between Southeast Texas’s “petrochemical alley” and the biodiverse Big Thicket of East Texas — blends environmental advocacy, conservation education, civic encouragement, and “arts as activism".”

Our Vision
We envision a world where native plants and animals flourish; where all communities have access to clean air, land, and water; where manmade global warming has been reduced to pre-industrial levels; and where the legal frameworks for environmental stewardship are returned to the people who inhabit these spaces.

While our work is deeply inclusive, collaborative, and inherently works across political aisles in a deeply conservative area, we mostly use ActBlue because it is a great and user-friendly advocacy platform. Also, we are more currently aligned with democrats — seeing as the Republican majority of the moment hates to see us coming.
